Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy.
- Guillaume Apollinaire
Reflection:
The past three weeks I have have focused on “forgiveness” knowing that the end of the year provokes emotion. In a life review, you will notice sometimes Life isn’t fair. Plans go awry. It rains on your parade. You fart in church. Things just happen.
Releasing control helps ease the pressure. There is such a cultural push to be a “better person.” Better than what?
Put your expectations away for a day. The holiday season is nearing and there are many feelings being stirred around the globe. Take a break to just feel. The right hemisphere of your brain doesn’t care about small thoughts.
Visit the photo album and see one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets.
I took a day off and went for a hike across the George Washington Bridge from New York to New Jersey and it was bliss. I wanted to be by the water and walk in in the autumn air. It was nice to spend time to think about absolutely nothing. I forget how little I do that.
Happy.

Question:
Will you take an inventory of your pure pleasures and pursue one weekly?
Here is a video of the photos I took last week while on my walk.
