Are you looking for films to get you in the holiday spirit, or a gift for your office Secret Santa or grab bag?
Sometimes you need a stocking stuffer or you want to give someting meaningful but have a limited budget.

Here are a few of my favorite HOLIDAY films that range from
the Classics to the Romantic
to Family Fun to Action Adventure
and a naughty Black Comedy.
Each film is a gift that keeps on giving.

All of the movies that are available on Amazon (click on the titles)
or can be purchased through iTunes.

The Classics

It’s a Wonderful Life [Blu-ray]

- Let’s begin with a classic that has endured and endured for generations. I remember watching this with my mom as a kid. After the movie, I randg every bell I could find.
It's a Wonderful Life

Miracle on 34th Street [Blu-ray]

- The Blu Ray has both black and white original film and the 80′s colorized version. I LOVE this movie and it supports why I still believe in Santa Claus.

It Happened on 5th Avenue

- I discovered this movie one Sunday morning playing on Turner Movie Classics and instantly fell in love with it. A homeless New York hobo moves into a mansion while its owners are wintering in the South. Along the way he gathers friends to live in the house with him. Before he knows it, he is living with the actual home owners who happen to be the second wealthiest man in the world, his estranged wife and his heiress daughter.

If you like Frank Capra films, you will enjoy this one. Being a New Yorker, I also found it particularly nostalgic.

For the Romantic

The Holiday [Blu-ray]

- It is a great fluff movie to elevate your mood. I saw it years ago with a friend who actually left the movie depressed because she hadn’t found love herself. But that’s because she refused to go out and take a chance!!! Love ain’t gonna find you sitting in your house watching TV.

The Holiday

Love Actually (Widescreen Edition)

- Saw this movie on a long flight to Asia and I had to do everything in my power to avoid crying in public. It’s funny, sentimental, romantic, heartbreaking and joyful.

For the Family

Home Alone (Family Fun Edition) [Blu-ray]

- This film is completely silly and it always makes me laugh. It’s great for the whole family.
Home Alone

The Sound of Music (45th Anniversary Edition)

- Though not a traditional Xmas film, what is there not to love? The Academy Award winner for Best Picture is now restored on Blu Ray!!!

For the Incorrigible

Bad Santa (The Unrated Version and Director’s Cut) [Blu-ray]

- Okay, so what if you are not in the holiday mood than you have this to cheer you up.

Die Hard Collection [Blu-ray]

- Sometimes I just like to see things blow up… and there is holiday message too!
